Giving Back to Our Community by Serving Others

In Cub Scouts, youth learn to think of others and their needs by participating in service projects. Giving back to our community through cheerful service is an important part of Scouting at all levels. Throughout the year, Pack 125 serves Pacific Grove and the Monterey Bay community through service projects. Individual dens may also have their own service projects.

The aims of Scouting are participatory citizenship, character development, and physical fitness. Taking part in service projects helps to meet the first two aims, and are a part of advancement requirements at every level.

Every year, Pack 125 serves the community through the following activities:
We have also placed American flags for Veteran's Day observances, and helped out at Animal Friends Rescue Project.

We practice Outdoor Code and Leave No Trace principles when we go hiking and camping. This means we pack our trash out with us, pick up litter we see on the trails and in the woods, and do our best to preserve the natural beauty around us by minimizing the impact we make.

Would you like your child to help make the world a better place? Please let us know!
